Dear Seneca County Grape Grower/Vineyard Owner:
In order to better serve the needs of the grape and wine industry in Seneca County, Cornell Cooperative Extension of Seneca County (CCE Seneca) is a founding member of the Finger Lakes Grape Program (FLGP).A consortium of six Finger Lakes CCE Associations and Cornell University, the FLGP provides a Viticulture Specialist, technicians as well as the support of Cornell University and the national Land Grant system to assist you in producing the best grapes and wine possible.
Per FLGP’s request, CCE Seneca continues to be responsible for the enrollment of Seneca County vineyard owners into the program. When you enroll in the FLGP, you have a direct link to the latest information from Cornell and other resources around the country on topics that are important to you as a grape grower including pest management, vineyard nutrition, crop management, and farm business and marketing. The FLGP remains committed to providing you with important and timely information through a variety of means to help you produce the best crop possible, as efficiently as possible.
Your participation as a member supports the overall FLGP and CCE Seneca’s continued involvement as well as providing specific benefits. For 2026, the enrollment fee remains $75 which entitles you to:

NOTICE & UPDATE on Cornell Guidelines: Cornell University has announced that they are pausing production of the 2026 Integrated Pest Management (IPM) Guidelines for all commodities as they undergo a full restructuring of the system. This pause is intended to allow for a focus of resources to update and modernize the guidelines to better meet user needs. The next edition is expected to be released in 2027.We understand this may cause some inconvenience and will share any updates or opportunities for input as they become available. Please feel free to reach out to us or your regional team specialist with any questions or if you need support finding alternative resources.

NEW OFFICE LOCATION: Cornell Cooperative Extension of Seneca County Offices are now located at 369 East Main Street, Waterloo, NY 13165; adjacent to the Huntington Living Center. This new location offers greater visibility and more convenience to the public seeking our services. Please watch for a post card in the new year announcing an Open House. We are hopeful that you will be able to join us.
Finally, please take few moments to respond to the enclosed Seneca County Agricultural Infrastructure/Facility Needs Assessment Survey which is spearheaded by County Planning as a part of implementing the Seneca County Agriculture Enhancement Plan. You can return the paper with your 2026 Enrollment information or complete it online using the QR Code.
