Join us to learn how to make pickles, relishes, and chutneys with local vegetables and fruits that are in season through hands-on demonstrations led by CCE Seneca Master Food Preservers. If you are loaded with garden zucchini - make a hamburger relish!
We will discuss tricks to make crisp pickles, how to use food preservation technique of acidification for both refrigerator pickles & canned products, and the basics of hot water bath canning.
Participants will have samples to taste and make a jar of refrigerator pickles to take home along with recipes.
$10/per person. Scholarships available.
