To create a greater understanding of practices occurring in today's agriculture, three agricultural operations in Seneca County are inviting the public to learn more about how farms are striving to be compatible with the environment and remain profitable.

The tour will conclude at Hosmer Estate Winery with wine and beer tasting. Dinner will be catered by Silo Food Truck and dessert by Myer Farm Distillers

Tour includes 3 Farms

  1. Sweetness of Life Farm - a family operated prescribed rotational grazing beef operation will highlight their grazing operation and recently installed heavy use area barnyard.
  2. Sweet Land Farm - a local CSA who specializes in vegetable production while building healthy soils utilizing cover cropping practices.
  3. Hosmer Estate Winery - with over 50 years of implementing sustainable vineyard practices like mulching, cover cropping, pest management, and custom vine planting.

Host farms will be joined by Cornell Cooperative Extension Specialists from the NWNY Dairy, Livestock & Field Crops Team, the Finger Lakes Grape Program, and the Cornell Vegetable Program, as well as other agriculture industry related professionals.
