Arrive between 9:30 - 9:45am to check in your plants and be ready to swap at 10am sharp!

Looking for a new plant for your garden?

Here’s a chance to swap plants you have for plants you’d like to have!

Not already a gardener, but would love to have a new plant?

Just bring a non-perishable food item* and our Master Gardeners will give you a plant that’s right for you !

For every plant you bring, you’ll be able to swap for another plant.

It’s a great way to increase the variety of plants for your house or garden!

The swap will be held at Oak Island in Waterloo, along the canal, rain or shine! There are pavilions there for protection in case of rain and plenty of parking space. There will be a special area in the pavilion for anyone bringing a food item to exchange for a plant.

Bring whatever you have: houseplants, flowers, bulbs, vegetables, herbs (they can be divided or started from seed too) to the swap and exchange them for a new plant! All types of plants are welcome. Every year we've seen an increase in the numbers and variety of plants.

Don’t know which plant might be best for your location and soil? Our experienced Master Gardeners will be in the pavilion to answer questions and help you select a plant.

If you’d just like to donate your plants to the swap, you may bring them to the CCE Seneca Office Thursday, May 9 or Friday, May 10 - or to Oak Island the morning of the swap.

*All food items will be donated to the local food pantries.
