Seneca County Cornell Cooperative Extension’s 4-H program will offer a Tractor and Machinery Safety Training program for youth ages 14-15.

This training program will enable young workers to obtain Hazardous Occupations Order in Agriculture (HOOA) certification,which is required to operate farm tractors and equipment. The program will provide attendees with the necessary 24 hours of instruction,and it will include group discussions, demonstrations, field trips, hands-on activities, independent study, and field assignments.
Upon completion of instruction, a written exam and driving test will be offered to achieve certification.Enrollment preference will be given to those ages 14 to 15. The program is available to anyone 12 years of age and older,however only individuals 14 and older will be able to operate equipment and become certified.

$20 includes materials and one year enrollment in Seneca County 4-H.
