Presented by Cornell Cooperative Extension of Seneca County, Seneca County Soil & Water Conservation District, Seneca County Farm Bureau, and USDA.
Dr. Kim Schulz, Associate Professor of Environmental and Forest Biology, at SUNY ESF has been surveying Owasco Lake and other Finger Lakes for invasive species - including Quagga Mussels.
Research is beginning to reveal a possible association between the increase in the occurrence of Harmful Algal Blooms (HABs) and invasive mussels.
Come learn more about the results of Dr. Schulz’s research and how this invasive species and other factors associated with climate change may be impacting our lakes.
