2026 4-H Youth Fair

The 2026 4-H Youth Fair is Wednesday, July 29 through Saturday, August 1 at the Union Springs Fire Department located at 257 Cayuga Street in Union Springs, NY .

Each summer, 4-H youth in Cayuga County have an opportunity to share and showcase the projects they've been working on, at the 4-H Youth Fair. The public is invited to come Thursday-Saturday and see what the youth in Cayuga and Seneca County 4-H are doing in the areas of animal science, plant science projects, entomology displays, home economics, photography and more!

Camping? Tent or RV camping is free, there are no hookups available. You MUST REGISTER.

2026 4-H Youth Fair Important Dates & Schedule

WEDNESDAY, JULY 22

• 5:pm: 4-H Dog Obedience Show at Finger Lakes Mall, Auburn (Public welcome)

SATURDAY, JULY 25

• 10am: 4-H Market Auction Poultry Show at Ward O’Hara Agricultural Museum (Public welcome)

TUESDAY, JULY 28

• 6pm: Static Project Judging w/Pizza (4-H participants only)

WEDNESDAY, JULY 29

• 3-6pm: Livestock Move-In (4-H participants only)

THURSDAY, JULY 30 (Public welcome to all events except morning meeting)

• 8am: All-Fair Meeting (4-H participants only)
• 8am: Late check in time for animals arriving after 6pm on Wed.
• 8:30am: Auction Animal Weigh-In
• 10am: Oxen Demon
• 12pm: 4-H Poultry Show
• 1pm: Dairy Judging Clinic
• 4pm: Goat & Sheep Show
• 6pm: Costume Contest

FRIDAY, JULY 31 (Public welcome to all events except morning meeting)

• 8am: All Fair Meeting (4-H participants only)
• 9am: Beef and Swine Shows
• 11am: Wool Spinning Demo
• 1pm: Dairy Showmanship
• 3-5:30pm: Auction Buyer Registration
• 5pm: Local Leader Show

• 6pm: 4th Annual Market Livestock Auction

SATURDAY, AUGUST 1 (Public welcome to all events except morning meeting)

• 8am: All Fair Meeting (4-H participants only)
• 10am: Dairy Breed Show
• 12pm: Rabbit and Cavy Show
• 1pm: Tractor Rodeo
• 3pm: Awards and Prizes
• 5pm: Tentative Release for Animals
