The Cornell Cooperative Extension Seneca County 4-H Youth Development Program is looking forward to working with participants exploring how to make quick and easy bird feeders. This hands-on, distance-learning activity held online via ZOOM will be offered on Tuesday, February 23, 2021 from 6:00pm to 7:15pm. Try It Tuesdays are open to ALL, participants do not have to be 4-H Members.
The supplied materials will be available for pick-up at the Seneca County Cornell Cooperative Extension office prior to the activity night. Materials included: large orange, 2 to 4 wooden sticks, yarn/twine, bird seed, knife, spoon and scissors.
This fun, natural science activity is also environmentally friendly. Participants will have an opportunity to be creative, curious, and considerate while making a bird feeder out of an ORANGE.
Additionally, instructions and some materials will be provided to create other styles of quick and easy bird feeders. This activity will engage our hands to larger service and our health to better living.
The Seneca County 4-H Team wishes to encourage attendees to help support birds through the winter months, have fun together as a group, and along the way spark an interest.
