Food Preservation Series: Spring Herbs

Come learn the nutritional and culinary benefits of growing and preserving fresh herbs this Spring!

Participants in this workshop will learn:

  • How to grow herbs at home
  • How to preserve your harvested herbs with techniques such as drying, freezing, making pestos and herbed butters
  • Recipes for preparing and consuming foods with fresh herbs
  • Nutritional benefits of many popular herbs

Participants will receive educational materials, taste samples, and leave with some herbs to take home.

This workshop will be led by CCE nutrition staff, along with a Master Gardener, and Master Food Preservers.
