Join CCE Seneca F2S as we take a tour of Persoon Dairy in Interlaken and learn some fun facts about dairy cows and the milking process!
Farm to School Lively Run Dairy Tour
Join CCE Seneca F2S to learn about the cheese making process from Pete Messmer of Lively Run Dairy. From goat milk from their own herd and cow milk from local farms to 15 different types of cheese, learn some of the steps in between. Also, find out where products are sold locally and where some of the cheeses get donated in Seneca County, like schools and food pantries. Thank you to the Messmer Family for the tour and teaching us about how cheese is made!
