Let’s get on the bus to attend the Cayuga-Seneca 4-H Youth Fair in Union Springs!
Cornell Cooperative Extensions of Cayuga and Seneca Counties received a transportation grant through NYS Agriculture & Markets to offer free transportation via a Coach bus to attend this year’s Cayuga-Seneca County 4-H Youth Fair. Each summer, the fair offers 4-H Youth an opportunity to share and showcase the projects they have been working on all year round, including photography, home economics, plant science, animal science, entomology and more. This is the second year that Seneca County 4-H and Cayuga County 4-H have collaborated to offer a more extensive youth fair.
The Cayuga-Seneca 4-H Youth Fair is held on the Union Springs Fire Department grounds located at 257 Cayuga Street. The grant provides two free bus runs on to Seneca County youth and their supervising parent(s) and or guardian(s).

“We hope that families will take advantage of this great opportunity to check out all of the animals, exhibits and activities. We recognize that these are stressful, financial times and that transportation can be a challenge for many,” notes Karen Burcroff, CCE Seneca 4-H Educator. Burcroff explains that this is a youth fair highlighting the value of agriculture in our communities, Carnival rides and games are not included. “We want everyone to be able to enjoy a fun, family-friendly day! Food trucks will be available to purchase additional items, but everything else is free to families. It’s a great opportunity for everyone to learn more about agriculture and get up close with a variety of animals like cows, pigs, sheep and chickens.”
For those interested in attending other days, visitors are welcome Thursday, July 30th through Saturday, August 1st.Selected exhibits and animals will be awarded the opportunity to participate in the New York State Fair held in Syracuse from August 26-September 7, 2026.
FREE! Each attendee will also be offered a free box lunch from The Bearded Bear BBQ, along with milk and water to drink.
