Workshops are taught by our CCE Master Gardener Volunteers.
All participants will receive handouts and valuable composting and garden tool care information.
9:15am-945am: Composting Workshop
The values of backyard composting and various materials that can be used to build a productive, healthy compost pile will be discussed.
9:45am-10:15am: Container Gardening Workshop
Assemble your own container garden with a variety of herbs and flowers that were started by seed.
10:15am - 11am: Tool Sharpening Workshop & Preparing your Garden for Spring
Through a hands-on demonstration, learn how to properly sharpen garden tools. Please feel free to bring your own gardening tools from home to learn how to sharpen them! Tips and practices for getting your garden ready for Spring planting will also be discussed, along with answering any questions.
