All farmers in Seneca County are encouraged to attend.
You do not have to be a Farm Bureau member to attend this event.
Agricultural Districts were formed in the early 1970’s to protect farmers from unreasonable restrictions from local governments. Attendees will learn about what the NYS Department of Agriculture & Markets deems as reasonable restrictions and what governments cannot unreasonably restrict.
Guest speakers Kathleen Tylutki & Jason Mulford from NYS Department of Agriculture & Markets, will outline how to file an appeal with their department, how to request a sound agricultural practice determination, and the process of how the Department conducts an investigation. They will also discuss solar array siting on farmland.
