Let’s start getting back to the basics of food preservation!

Learn the why’s, how’s, and benefits of home food preservation, with or without the need of standard canning equipment, through hands-on demonstrations led by CCE Seneca Master Food Preservers.

We will discuss simple freezing and dehydrating techniques for:

  • freezing fruits, vegetables, jams, and pie fillings
  • dehydrating fruits, vegetables, and herbs, using an oven or microwave

Participants will have samples to taste and make strawberry freezer jam to take home along with dried herbs and recipes.
