New York's Ag Workforce Development Council (AWDC) is organizing Labor Roadshow VII.
The event heads back out on the road with the following stops, plus an online option!
December 13: Gathering Barn, Old McDonald’s Farm - 14369 County Rd 145, Sackets Harbor
December 15: Greenwich Elks Lodge - 130 Bulson Road, Greenwich
December 19: 116 Jordan Hall, Cornell AgriTech - 630 W North Street, Geneva.
December 19, online option: There is a virtual option for this day only. The event will be broadcast via Zoom for remote audiences and recorded for paid registrants to view later. A Zoom link will be emailed before the event.
December 20: T-102, Conable Technology Building - Genesee Community College, One College Road, Batavia
Labor continues to be the primary challenge for many farm businesses and this event tackles those challenges head on with these topics. Topics will include - how the new NYS Marijuana Law affects the workplace, state and federal employment law compliance, farm safety and OSHA compliance, updating payroll, and workforce development. The topic of overtime will be discussed, including the 2024 NYS tax reimbursements for overtime, payroll systems, and compliance.
