Cornell Cooperative Extension of Seneca County (CCE Seneca) supports local Farmers’ Markets with organizational consultation services, Electronic Benefits Terminal (EBT) support, and educational outreach through the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program and the Farmers’ Market Nutrition Program.
Visit every Thursday from 3pm-6pm from June 14 - August 29, 2024 for the freshest and tastiest produce around. Local really does taste better so come support your local growers and experience that “Right Off the Farm” difference!
Ovid Farmers' Market is on the lawn area closest to Main Street in front of the Three Bears complex.
We also have some amazing activities and events planned so be sure to visit us here and on Facebook for all the latest.
There will be:
- farm fresh eggs
- local maple syrup
- local honey
- fresh baked goods (pies, breads, eclairs, cookies, granola, and brownies)
- cut flowers and flower arrangements
The market will have produce vendors that accept Farmers Market Nutrition Program coupons (given to senior citizens who qualify and to WIC recipients) and SNAP recipients will be able to spend their SNAP benefits on any SNAP eligible items at the market.
The key to this community farmers’ market is promoting locally grown and produced items and providing residents with access to local, fresh fruits and vegetables and other products. We have the vendors coming to the market, now all we need are customers! So plan to attend, rain or shine.
We hope to see you there!
