Join us at Jeffrey Guerin's berry farm for a morning of pruning demonstrations, pest and disease identification, and more. Bring your own pruners so that you can learn by doing! Dress warmly for our workshop, which will be held outdoors.

Agenda:

10 am: Welcome & Introductions, refreshments

10:15: Overview of berry production at Irona Berry Haven (Jeffrey Guerin, Irona Berry Haven)

10:30: Blueberry pruning and scouting demonstrations, hands-on pruning (Heather Kase, CCE ENYCHP)

11:30: Considerations when starting a PYO operation: Food safety, agritourism regulations, marketing, grant opportunities, and more (Elisabeth Hodgdon, CCE ENYCHP and Lindsey Pashow, Harvest NY)

Noon: End program
