Cornell Cooperative Extension of Seneca County 4-H Youth Development invites area youth to join us this winter season for our 4-H Crafts & Fiber Arts Workshop Series. The series includes four hands-on workshops that will be held on Wednesdays, starting February 12 until March 26 from 6pm to 8pm at the office of Cornell Cooperative Extension of Seneca County, located at 369 East Main Street in Waterloo. Participants are not required to attend all four workshops.
This series is open to all youth, ages 7 and up. The cost is $5 for each workshop for current 4-H members. Non-members will need to join 4-H with a one-time membership fee of $15, that will include your choice of one Crafts & Fiber Arts Workshop. As an added bonus for becoming a 4-H member, youth will have access to all other 4-H opportunities throughout the year.
Youth can attend all or any number of the workshops from the series. Workshops include:
February 12 – No Sew Fleece Pillows for Valentines Day
February 26 – “All Things Beads” with the support of 4-H Youth Leader, Iris Enslow
March 12 – Needle Felting with Volunteer, Kari Milliman Gauntt
March 26 – Fiber Arts Activities with Robin Houseworth, Alpaca Farmer and 4-H Educator
If you are not yet connected to 4-H, the Youth Development Program of Cornell Cooperative Extension is a great way to spark your interest, try something new, and become involved.
