Open to anyone that wants to learn about chainsaw safety and maintenance.
This training will focus on introducing the participant to open face felling and the development of techniques to safely use it.

This program will be held outside so participants are encouraged to dress properly for the weather.
Participants are required to bring a chainsaw along with sharpening and maintenance tools. Also required is personal protective equipment (PPE) including a hard hat, chainsaw protective chaps, and eye protection that satisfies the ANSI Z87.1 standard.
Participants are encouraged to bring lunch to eat in the field during the training, and to bring a DBH (diameter breast height) measuring tape, if available
Participants will earn a Game of Logging Level 1 certificate after completing the entire day of training; certificates will be mailed out approximately 3-5 weeks after the training event.
