Introduction to Food Safety - Two Day Good Agricultural Practices (GAPs) Training

GAP is a voluntary program that verifies the safe growing, handling, packing and holding of produce. More institutions, including schools and other distributors of produce are seeking GAP certification. By completing the two day training you will LEARN:

  • How to Identify Food Safety Risks on Your Farm
  • Strategies to Mitigate the Risks
  • How to Satisfy Food Safety Requirements for Farm to School
  • How to Create a Food Safety Plan for Your Farm

This two day GAP training will prepare you for the next step should you need/qualify for further certification.

NYS Ag & Markets inspectors will be present to help answer questions.

Limited number of scholarships available on first come, first served.
