This summer, Cornell Cooperative Extension of Seneca County 4-H Youth Development will offer a 4-H Shooting Sports Shotgun training program. Sessions will be held at local sportsmen’s clubs on Sunday afternoons during the months of June and July. The program will also include a Falconry presentation at Seneca Meadows.

This opportunity will be available to youth ages 12 and up. Individuals do not already have to be members of 4-H.

  • Sunday, June 23 from 1 PM – 3 PM @ MacDougall Sportsmen’s Club
  • Sunday, June 30 from 1 PM – 3 PM @ MacDougall Sportsmen’s Club
  • Sunday, July 7 from 1 PM – 3 PM @ North Seneca Sportsmen’s & Rifle Club
  • Sunday, July 14 from 1 PM – 3 PM @ South Seneca Sportsmen’s Club
  • Sunday, July 28 from 1 PM – 3 PM @ North Seneca Sportsmen’s & Rifle Club
  • *Tuesday, July 30 at 11AM @ Seneca Meadows Inc. (Falconry Presentation)

ABOUT NEW YORK STATE 4-H SHOOTING SPORTS PROGRAM

The New York State 4-H Shooting Sports program is built upon experiential learning and rooted in positive youth development.Programs are led by trained instructors and focus on the fundamentals, safety, and benefits of shooting sports, hunting, conservation, and more. Participants will learn confidence, problem solving, self-discipline, and other life skills through the 4-H “Learn by Doing” framework.

Fee

$5 for 4-H members. $20 for non-members (includes membership)
