Animal Care and More with Alyssa Healy & Aydan Low, STARR Planning Committee Members (Short) - Do you like animals? If yes, then you'll love this workshop. During this fun and hands-on workshop, we will be learning all about animal care and much more!

4-H Archery with Teen Assistant Instructors (Short) - 4-H Archery is open to youth over the age of 8 and is a great foundation for interest in all of shooting sports discipline or for one specific activity that you can do most/all your adult life. In this program Teen Assistant Instructors will guide through the basic equipment, range rules, and skills you will need to shoot a bow safely, where a compound, a recurve, or a ongbow. Take the eleven steps to the 10 ring today!

Astronomy with Anirban Roy, Cornell University Astronomy Department (Short) - 4-H Camp Shankitunk meets Cornell’s Astronomy department…come join us for an exploration of different galaxies through images and by utilizing your cell phones. Dr. Anirban Roy is a postdoctoral fellow at Cornell University with interests in astrophysical and cosmological models and he will lead you in a galactic quest of your own!

Cooking: Hand Rolled Pasta with Dana J. Thomas, 4-H Alumni (Long) - With just a few simple ingredients, learn the history and process of making pasta from scratch! Take home your new skills and be able to make an epic meal, and even play with flavoring your pasta. 

The event is planned by teens and adults serving on the youth/adult STARR planning committee and is held at the NYS Fairgrounds in Syracuse, NY.

STARR is open to all NYS 4-H Teens.
