Do you have a kid who dreams about horses night and day? Is their favorite time of day when they are in the barn? Do they show or plan to show a horse in 4-H?  If so, the 4-H Horse Project might be right for them!

Clinician Bill Skellett will share his extensive equine knowledge with participants. Mr. Skellett will teach both Western and English Showmanship to youth and their equine partners. He will also cover ring etiquette to make riding in company safer and more enjoyable. Riding evaluations, required for youth to compete in 4-H shows, will be conducted as well.

Horses will need proof of negative EIA test and current vaccinations. Participants should wear appropriate safety gear including boots with a heel and an approved helmet. They should also use sunscreen and bug repellent as the weather deems necessary.

Cost to participate in the clinic is $5 for 4-H members and $20 for non 4-H members (includes 1 year membership in 4-H). There is a firm deadline of May 1st for all registrations and enrollments. Youth and their families are also welcome to audit the clinic.
